Transparent Video Player – Simply Amazing!
This post is about one of the most amazing pieces of software that you could have for your website. It is called the Transparent Video Player. It was created by Josh Anderson and can do some pretty cool things on your web page. I will also tell you right up front that it costs $120 and in my opinion, it could well be the best money you ever spent on your website.
Assuming you have read my posts on this blog you understand that I am a BIG fan of direct response websites. Whenever I create a site for an offline client, I always follow direct response methods and techniques. One of the problems I often run into is that the site owner does not want to spend the money to re-work or re-purpose their site in order to create a more responsive experience for their visitors. After checking out Josh’s Transparent Video Player” I believe that I have come across a solution to that dilemma. Since I can now add transparent video to a client’s site, I can help them to scrpit a direct response message and get that call to action in there.
This player carries a very small footprint and is compatible with the latest version of flashplayer and can playback .flv videos as well as h.264 encoded video formats such as .mov and .mp4′s. Not only is it small in overall code size on your page it is optimized so that you get extremely fast load times and playback. This allows you to host your own videos while saving you unnecessary bandwidth costs. It also creates an awesome experience for your web site visitors!
If you didn’t want to utilize the features that allow you to move your video around the page you can also simply use it as a traditional web site video player which offers you some very powerful non-traditional features that aren’t found in other players, such as:
- You can trigger un-blockable pop ups with an opt-in form after a video finishes.
- You can send your visitors down or up the page from video to video and location to location.
- You can set a cookie on your visitors to ensure they only see the video once.
- You can even trigger the video to play from linked images an/or text.
To be honest, I can’t do this player justice in this post. The best way to experience this is to visit Josh’s www.TransparentVideoPlayer.com web page and see the demo he has put together.
However, if you would like to learn about more of the capabilities and features that this player has, see below:

When you visit the website you will also see several bonuses that Josh offers along with the player. Considering that the player (in my opinion) is worth well more that what he is charging, the bonuses are just that, bonuses!
These were copied directly from his site.

why some of these can be very good for entertainment or short clips, i find it annoying when i open a site and some person (usally) a woman starts talking to me….

Funny you should mention that, because it does indeed have a small control bar so you can stop it, fast forward it, or turn it off. Your choice.
I was kind of iffy about it, even with the feature list due to previous players seemingly having a fit on this computer. Hwoever the demo is what sold me, and being able to adjust playback for the user is the seller. Thanks for sharing this, you’ve helped to make a sale.
I am glad you checked it out. I think it is one (if not THE) best video options out there.
I used it for a website that I was doing a week ago after finding this post. Worked like a charm.
these things are good. adding additional interactivity, videos, and music can be a good thing to a website, but be sure to include a short delay before it starts and also a stop or pause button
many people done like sites that bombard them with music or people talking….
