Don’t Get Scammed Online
There are 2 big fears in the internet marketing business for those who are just starting out and even for those who have been doing this for a while. Those two fears are: the fear of failure the fear of getting scammed online. It’s difficult for us all to determine who we should trust and who we shouldn’t, whose telling the truth and who isn’t. Is the product or service everything it says it is? In our minds we have question after question that can stop us from taking any action because of our fear of getting scammed. While there is no way that I can explain all the ways that you could be scammed or the ways to protect yourself in this one article, I can give you a few tips to help you.
One of the easiest ways to protect yourself is research. When it comes to researching anything, Google is your friend. You can look up and individual’s name, their business or company and just about anything else you can think of to gain more information. You must, however, be able to sift through the vast amount of information you could find and determine what is good and what is not. If you don’t find any information on a product that doesn’t mean it’s no good or you shouldn’t do business with them, it just means they have no track record and you are probably dealing with a new company, product or service.
Another way to learn about people is to visit blogs and forums that are related to the products or services they are selling. If they are marketers I can guarantee you that they visit some of these places as a means of marketing. People in forums are more than willing to give an opinion on products and services in those posts. Blogs that allow comments can be a valuable source of information as well because the commenters will usually say exactly what they think. Similar rules apply to sifting through the information you find. You must be able to determine what is good and what is not. You can always contact the posters and ask them for specific information as well.
An easy way to learn more about an individual or company is to simply ask them. Any marketer worth their salt will have some sort of contact method listed on their web page or sales page. This allows you to evaluate a couple of things, first, the time frame in which you receive a reply. This can be very important to know, especially if you have issues down the road and need help. The second, is the answer to the questions you have for them. If you don’t get direct, to the point answers then you may want to weigh your decision to be involved with them. If their product or service is good they should not have vague answers to your questions.
Last but not least (when purchasing a product) is to simply look at the guarantee. Is there a guarantee, is it unconditional or conditional, and how long is it valid? Answers to these questions can make you feel more at ease or possibly make you question the product even more.
Ultimately, no matter how much research you do, there is no guarantee that you won’t get scammed. There are many marketers who are very good at hiding what they don’t want you to know. However, if you follow the above tips, at the very least, you will greatly reduce YOUR risk of getting scammed online.

Great article….I did get scammed by a “so called” cash gifting program. After receiving my cash the sponsor disappeared…..I guess I should have known better than to mail a stranger cash..lesson learned.

When looking for legitimate opportunities on the internet, always look at the sights terms. This will be at the bottom of the website and will tell you everything, if it does not, then you are sure to be rubbing shoulders with a scam.
Other things to look for, age of website, if they are brand new and only temporal organisations, then these will also be negative efforts.
Only go with clean cut and well revised companies, a true company will offer plenty of information for you.
Be careful and never jump in without checking how high the jump really is.
I have seen hundreds of scams in my life on the internet over the past 20 years or so and the bigger the net, the more scams there are
the typical “one page site” scams are usually not that, usually they are affiliate sales pages – but the look and feel just sends warning bells to me every single time.
