I have seriously been getting into twitter and its great for creating a community around an interest. As well as using it to broadcast what you are doing… use twitter search to find others who have shared interests with you and enter into their conversations… you can win lots of followers this way as not only them but their followers will wonder who you are (as long as you have relevant things to say) and drop over to your profile to have a look.

Twitter is a lot of fun. I find if I'm focusing on enjoying the process of learning things and meeting people then I'm getting connected with the right followers.
