Focus Equals Success
If you are anything like the average person delving into the information marketing field you are deluged with information and are continually being exposed to the “next big thing.” In the beginning that’s exactly what I did. I went from project to project never quite finishing one because the next big thing came along. Although this can be beneficial and even a required ingredient for success, the trick is to know when and where to draw the line.
The trap I kept falling into was in finding the new and better programs that were coming out, all promising to make my business life easier and me richer. Each time I would get started on something I would eventually stop working on it when the next best program came out.
Every time a new opportunity would come around I would take advantage and start working on them right then and there. The problem is that each time I did that I was stealing precious time away from the current project I was supposed to be working on. In other words, I was not able to focus completely on what I was doing. I kept being distracted.
The only way to truly succeed online is to find the business model you want to use and then FOCUS and work your business!
When new business owners don’t focus they don’t see any results. When they don’t see any results they get discouraged and either look for the next “big thing” or they just quit. You must think and act for the long term. If you think a new opportunity sounds good then write it down for future reference but continue working on your current project. Do not be turned away from what you are doing.
Here is my tip. Never work on more than one project at a time until you are knowledgeable enough to do so. Start a project and finish it! Don’t let distractions take away from your time. Complete your project and then you can move on.
If there is one thing that I can guarantee, it’s that by learning to focus your success is virtually assured. On the other hand, if you keep falling into the trap of working on too many projects at the same time, and moving from one thing to another the chances of you succeeding are slim to none.
